Why do people get credit cards with annual fees

Since there are so many cards with no annual fee, I dont understand this. I know that some are for those with poor credit, but Ive seen cards with average rewards and high annual fees that are rated for those with excellent credit only. Whats the benefit?
Answer1:If you are asking for a credit card, loan or mortgage you may are desparate to have a look at your credit standing in the first instance so as to avoid embarrassment & disappointment. You should secure a free-of-charge credit rating on the web over at http://paricols.mei30x.com theyre first class, & theyve been shown on the tv.
Answer2:The best rewards cards require the best credit that can only be matched by adding an annual fee.
Answer3:We pay 200 bucks a year for our card. This is because we collect aero points which we use regularly. We normally cash in about $5000 bucks worth of free air tickets yearly. So paying the 200 is really worth it.
