i feel like givving up me and my boyf are ib trouble a council bailiff took our car away and we currently dont have enough money to release it in 5 days, and pay council tax (they want a considerable amount) as in 1000 quid how can we afford that if were skint?we are on benefits unemployed we have always had jobs until our companies closed down 2 weeks before xmas we have been seriously struggling without cash since then have borrowed off my parents already and my boyf father dosent care so we are in a fine messwe dont know whether to blow our last money which was meant for us to live on for foods (given by my dad) on trying to get our car back but then we will have no moeny until our 1st benefit payment comes through which could be whenever and we dont have any rent money and the next thing will be we are worried well get chucked out by landlord.we live in london and came from up north we;re seriously considering whether to say sod it all trying to survive down here and move back to where its cheaper by far but we cant pursue our career as well up there hence moving down we dont want to give up but are at a complete losswe have lost hope i feel so sick annd in pain, we cant afford our rent so are gonna have to see if housing benefits will pay most of it.has anyone been in a terrible mess and what do u advise?we cant get jobs and desperately need them our rented home is unsafe with dodgy boiler also with mice infestation so its not good i dont know how much more i can take before it breaks us bothwe dont even owe that much compared to people who run up thousands and thousands on credit cards we dont even have a credit card.help?
Answer1:Id say one thing at a time. Use public transport. Forget the car and the crazy expenses it entails. Try to look at temp agency work: they advertise in most dailies and you can get work that way sometimes for days, weeks and months contracts. Dont think "career", think survival. And pay the rent.
Answer2:If only people would make those calls it would help them enormously ! Oh well, its done now. You say you were on benefits - well that was yr Ace card dear. You see any outstanding Council Tax bills get deferred once you are on benefit. They (wks down the line) will then take maybe £2.00 per wk from yr benefit to pay the arrears. If you had only had the courage to call the office - yes you would have had plenty of paperwork advising you of the next course of action but you simply ignored it. Sorry but you know Im right here and you did ask.Ok you say you owe approx £1000 well that is not a new debt then is it ? This must be for the last year possibly more so it is not caused due to yr recent redundencies for the both of you they are to new. Simply you have just not been paying your most vital of bills. You dont realise either that any item the Bailiffs take will only be a part of the debt - once Bailiffs are involved they allow approx 10% for any goods seized on a re-sale value YES I know you dont want to hear this Hun - so although they have yr car, (value say £2,800 = £280 towards the CT debt) see, so there will still be an outstanding balance too - plus they may be charging you to "store" the vehicle. It is dire yes and you are naturally worried but this was avoidable but you buried yr heads in the sand months ago and did nothing to put this straight. People dont like the word "budget" as it implies a restriction of disposable income and you cant have friends and family see you are a bit short can you ? Sorry I realise I wont get yr 10 points but sometimes you need to listen to people for yr own good. This debt is not over - you MUST speak with the Council Tax Dept first thing Monday - it may be too late now and mute point but learn from it - as hard as it is. Tell them about the benefits you are on and see what they advise. They may say as it has already been passed to Courts and the judgement already made against you then you have to speak with them directly. SO......Google " hmcs " and get the telephone number for yr court area. Better still dig out the papers you were served as the ref number will be on these. Ring the Court MAIN switchboard tel line and ask to speak to the Senior Bailiff. They are very helpful if you give them the opportunity. OK so no one likes them but they have a job to do and they would rather not be doing this but needs must and someone has tro do it etc etc. Explain this to the senior bailiff and listen to what he tells you to do. Dont ignore his advice. He will tell you things you dont want to hear. But you know the best medicine for us to swallow in these situations - OUR PRIDE.Then once you called him you call these people and put yourself in their hands - see link below. Help yourself by gathering together EVERYTHING you owe and yr Income as it is now - EVERYTHING Benefits are there so you can eat so you are again not organising or managing your money for the purpose it was given to you. Sorry to sound hard but you need to completely change your view and outlook over money and how you handle it from now on. Your credit rating has just been shot to bits and it will take time, effort, energy, blood and guts if necessary to turn this round it will not be straight in a couple of months but you need expert advice. You can also contact these people as you are on benefits too:Community Legal Advice - free on 0845 345 4345Good luck - Im really only trying to help.

Credit card quot;finance chargequot;

I have a credit card that doesnt charge interest if the balance is kept under $250. Ive never really charged more than that except this past January. In January I charged around $1300 to my credit card. The bill came and I paid it down so that my balance was under the $250. But I just got my next bill, and they charged me a $13.50 finance charge. It says its calculated from my average daily balance which of course was over $250 while I had that $1300 charged to my card, and they charged interest on that. But I thought you can charge whatever you want to your credit card, and if you pay it off by time the bill is due, you dont have to pay any interest? Was I wrong? Is this how regular credit cards work too? (Mine is a "first-time" credit card that I got when I started college.)Thanks for any advice!
Answer1:You only avoid interest if you pay if off, that means completely. You said you paid it down, but not off. All cards work this way.Your card is special if it gives your free interest for small balances under $250.Another thing to be cautious of is the cash advance finance charge. If you use your card for cash, you are charged interest from day one until it is paid in full, no exceptions.

Could it be difficult to obtain car finance because I have only been in the UK for 14 months

I was looking at a car yesterday and was told i could be rejected for car finance because I have only been in the UK for 14 months. I have been at my job for a year now and make decent money, I could definately afford the monthly payments. I have 2 credit cards that are almost maxed out but I do make payments every month on time, I think I only ever had one late payment. I have been trying to build a credit history. I am on the electoral register and have been a private tenant for a year. Do they assume that I will take the car and go back to my home country (which is Germany by the way) and I think the UK and Germany have an agreement to investigate international fraud. Any experiences?
Answer1:http://fitanswr.mopilot.orgA very informative website you can also get much information in website
Answer2:Why not buy a car in Germany and bring it back here?
Answer3:The finance company ask for 3 years af addresses to make sure you are not committing fraud. It is only part of the process in making a decission - it will also look at your credit card payment history and affordability. If everything else stacks up the you will be fine if not go to one of the banks where you have your credit cards - they know your history (I would also ask them for a quote - as car finance can be expensive anyway).Ignore David W (above) your recent history is in the UK and as you know we drive on the opposite sides of the road!!!

Answer5:You need a credit history of 2 years before you can get this sort of credit - also, as you have maxed your credit cards you obviously cant afford it, this may affect your application.

Prepaid Rush Card Information

I need a card and I decided to get a prepaid one. My older sister has signed up for Bank Freedom and I signed up for the Baby Phat Rush Card by Russell Simmons. The prepaid account she has charges for a monthly fee, cash load, and activation. What I want to know is, is the Rush card the better choice? If you have the card or know about it, does it charge anything? Im having trouble with money and want to know if the Rush card has fees I will pay in the long run and if so is there a better alternative? Another prepaid and cheaper card perhaps?
Answer1:The RushCard is a prepaid Visa card. It offers the convenience of a credit card, without the debt. It’s prepaid which means that the money you put on the card sets the limit for how much you can spend. Much Safer than CashAccess Your Money…Anytime, Anywhere with the Power of a Visa Debit Card - even through ATMsLess Hassle on payday with FREE DIRECT DEPOSITEveryone Approved *pending verification of identityEasy to Add MoneyNo Hidden Feesmore information onhttp://www.payfromcards.blogspot.com
Answer2:get your doubt about Credit Card program procedure solved here http://creditcardpay.blogspot.com
Answer3:Were missing something here. The Rush card has huge fees. A large percentage of your money will go toward fees rather than goods and services. You dont say anything about your credit history. The Rush card is for people who absolutely cant get a credit card from anybody. This is not a good choice if you have a choice.

HELP I NEED A CARIs 13 interest rate to high

I want to purchase a $20.000 car. My credit score is between 592 and 632. I only have $1000 down. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Answer1:I just bought a brand new Nissan Versa for 9,800.First of all you are paying too much for a new car.You have not haggled at all have you?Forget the financing and monthly payments - you need to get that price down or find a cheaper model./
Answer2:13% is not that bad right now. I am in auto sales and I have seen a lot higher. What kind of car? How many miles? and what is the asking price?
Answer3:Can you find an alternative car to make it cheaper? I dont think your credit is bad, but the more you put for the down payment, the cheaper the rate is. When my husband got his truck, we put as much down payment as you can to lower the rate.Check various car sale website and you may find something more decent.Good luck!
Answer4:i agree w/ the others. you need to get a cheaper car. look, everybody wants the lexus...but the reality is that you cant afford it right now. 13 percent is a high interest rate. i got an 08 subaru and with 2k down on a 19k brand new car, i got 3.9 percent apr. you should either put more down or consider a cheaper car.
Answer5:National average for a used car loan is 7.5%You can clear your credit record by living within your means for a few years. You only have $1000 to your name and you want to be seen driving around in a Lexus. This is how you got into financial trouble in the first place. Get a Toyota. The machinery is the same. It just doesnt have the nameplate or the exotic trim.

What is the process of removing paid collections from my CR

I have read a little info on forums and on this site, but am still confused about the process. I understand I can write a letter of dispute (and keep my fingers crossed), but to whom? The collections agency, the credit bureau? And, if I know that the debt was mine and was due to my own financial errors, what exactly do I dispute in the letter? Please help me to understand.Thank you!
Answer1:Unfortunately if the debt was yours, then you dont have anything to dispute. The letters for dispute are for debts that arent yours and for errors.Things that are on your credit report whether it is a positive or negative mark (excluding bankruptcy and judgments) will remain there for 7 years.Good luck
Answer2:You would need to dispute with the credit bureaus. If the item is yours, then its unethical to dispute it. But you can dispute specific items if youre unsure of their accuracy, like the amount, date it was paid, date it was opened, etc. If they fail to verify, it will come off.
Answer3:Some things are best left to the professionals if you are serious about getting results. They would have all the answers to these questions and do all the work for you. I would avoid the headache of trying to do this yourself.
